Mid-span bracket bars

Our mid-span bracket bars for power lines are made of high-density polyester resin. They are used as insulating bars in overhead power lines support systems. They are custom-made, contain UV protection, and are reinforced with fiberglass.

Why fiberglass composite brackets?

A wide variety of applications can be named for fiberglass resin composites in the electrical engineering field, including by not limited to switchboard panels, arc barriers, parts of circuit breakers, and other structural and electrical parts.

Remarkable high-temperature performance and very good electrical insulation properties of fiberglass resin composites make them equal or superior to most of the alternatives available in the industry for resisting the flow of electric current.

Our fiberglass composite brackets benefit from the very high dielectric strength of our immensely popular composites which makes them an ideal solution in all electrical projects due to their low conductivity and electromagnetic neutrality.

We are well aware of the sensitivity of the application of these brackets, and hence, we produce them by utilizing optimal North America 1st-grade composite materials and high-quality molds through a well-designed manufacturing process. Our well-trained employees continuously monitor the quality of manufacturing, and by conducting frequent tests, we assure achieving the quality ratings required by our clients.

These composite brackets are lightweight, durable, weather-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and require little maintenance.

That is why, starting from 1987, this has been one of our popular products on the market. These brackets have been used by our trusted clients from different provinces in Canada as well as more than 15 states in the United States.

The mid-span bracket, also known as Clamping Midspan Bracket, is developed for use by our industrial partners in the following two situations:

  • in open-wire secondary systems, it can be used as a mid-span spreader
  • in situations where positive clamping to the secondary is required, it can be used for mid-span taps.

Custom Dimensions

The most popular size of the brackets is the standard 3/8″ X 1-9/16″, however, custom dimensions are also available on demand.

We utilize high-end computer software packages for design and finite element calculations to help with optimizing the geometry of our products, both in terms of performance and cost-efficiency. We also offer custom hole patterns on the brackets.

Need a product similar in properties, but different in design? No problem. We offer you technical support from our experienced R&D team.
